In 2017 as part of Canada’s 150th birthday APTN will cover the national market with a seven market execution of Aboriginal Day Live & Festival.
Seven major urban centres including Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver and Yellowknife will host this event on June 21, 2017, National Aboriginal Day with an expected all in attendance of 113, 000.
Single Largest Celebration of National Aboriginal Day
APTN Aboriginal Day Live is the single largest celebration of Canada’s National Aboriginal Day in Canada.
To broaden the reach, the live concert applies a multi-platform delivery of the Aboriginal Day Live concerts and festival to run simultaneously in each host city.
We have proven results from an 11-year history of connecting with 1.25 Million Canadians from a robust social media campaign deployed 4 months in advance and rolls into an on-air/online and live site marketing campaign to promote the celebration in each city.
In 2017, social media hosts will be live, online and on location, uniting both local and national audiences under the hashtag #ADL2017. Viewers will be engaged through conversation and photo sharing via Twitter and Instagram. For the entire coast-to-coast duration of the event, this multi-platform second-screen experience will offer the best seat to all seven stages and uniquely engaging opportunities.
Each region will also contribute to a full daytime program of heritage, activities and music from the First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures through the Community Celebration Village, celebration stage and family oriented event at the live site prior to a FREE 2-hour evening concert where the main stage will burst with the LIVE sounds of award-winning, and on the rise, Aboriginal entertainers.
